GMA7's most-awaited fantasy series of the year has made its pilot episode last night, Monday, July 18. Encantadia, a "requel" of the 2005 hit series won the Internet as it placed at the top spot of the trending topics on Twitter last night.
But how did it fare in the ratings game?
In an Instagram post of @dreamscapeph, the production unit handling its rival program "Ang Probinsyano" on ABS-CBN, revealed that based on the data of Kantar Media, Encantadia got 21% in the national ratings - just half of its rival with 42.4%.
But data released by AGB Nielsen show otherwise. Encantadia's pilot ratings 26.1% won by a narrow margin against Ang Probinsyano with 24.2%.
