Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas has signed up a contrct with the revitalized GMA Records - the music arm of GMA Network.

Delas Alas inked the deal with the company's top executives on Thursday, November 9. Aiai wrote in her Instagram post,

Kim Chiu starts recording for new album

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu has started working on her newest music album for Star Music. Her handler, Portia of Star Magic, posted photos of her on Instagram while inside a recording room Thursday night.

Last March, Kim met with Star music executives to talk about the forthcoming album, her third, to be exact after her hit albums "Chinita Princess" (2015) and "Gwa Ai Di" in 2007. Both albums reached Gold and Platinum status respectively.

"A fun and productive day with my @starmusicph family!!!🌟 looking forward for the next few months!!!💋 lets do this!!!😉🎤🎧 #thankful", Kim wrote in the caption.

Last week, Kim's perennial screen partner Xian Lim announced that he's started recording songs for his new album  too.

Jona signs recording contract with Star Music

Eight months after her transfer to kapamilya network, Jona has officially signed a contract with Star Music, ABS-CBN's music arm.

A contract was inked Monday afternoon, November 14 with Star Music's top executives headed by Roxy Liquigan, Jonathan Manalo, manager Arlene Mayer, and Star Magic handler Love Capulong. Jona has previously signed a management contract with Star Magic last month.

"Sobrang colorful. Ang dami kong first time na nagawa", Jona described her first few months of stay as ABS-CBn talent.

Sarah Geronimo gets nominated in MTV EMA as Best Southeast Asia Act

Philippines' very own Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo is once again nominated in MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Southeast Asia Act.

Geronimo will be competing for the title against five other acts in the region. The other nominees include:

- Dong Nhi (Vietnam)
- Gentle Bones (Singapore)
- Raisa Andriana (Indonesia)
- Thaitanium (Thailand) and
- Yuna (Malaysia)

Voting will start on September 27. MTV EMA will be held on Nov. 6 at the Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Geronimo had previously won the same title in 2014.

Donna Cruz officially becomes a kapamilya; signs contract with Star Music

Donna Cruz has formally signed a contract with Star Music, ABS-CBN's music recording arm, Tuesday night, January 19.

Cruz (now a Larrazabal), the popular multimedia star in the 1990s and a homegrown talent of Viva Entertainment and GMA Network, returns to her first love - music. But this time, she's doing it under the label of Star Music, ABS-CBN's music recording arm.

News came after @mychosdotcom, an ABS-CBN social media account, announced on their Instagram account last November 2015 about Star Music welcoming their newest "recording superstar" pertaining to Cruz.

Cruz rose to fame when she recorded her first two successful singles "Kapag Tumibok ang Puso" and "Rain". After which, numerous hit songs were tied under her belt making her the most successful multimedia star in the 90s. She had also made blockbuster movies and hit tv shows under Viva Films and GMA 7.

Cruz was engaged and married a Cebuano Opthalmologist named Yong Larrazabal in 1998 and chose to leave show business at the peak of her career.

Kim Chiu, Vice Ganda, top local artists in Youtube PH's trending music videos for 2015

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu's search for her Mr. Right is proven a success - not because she has found her Mr. Right but because her search landed as a trending music video in the Philippiners for the whole year of 2015.

Video sharing website, Youtube, has released its official list of top trending music videos in the country on Thursday, December 10 where Chiu emerged at the top among local artists.

The worldwide-hit video "Watch Me" by Silento topped the list with 464,919,872 views, followed by Kim's hit single "Mr. Right" which had a total of 7,239,951 views.

Kapamilya stars Vice Ganda (Huwag Kang Pabebe), Liza Soberano (Feeling Carefree), and Darren Espanto (In Love Ako Sa 'Yo) came in at 3rd, 4th, and 5th spots respectively.

Youtube sensation Donnalyn Bartolome came at sixth with her "Happy Break Up" song.

A collab song "Nakakamiss" by Smugglaz, Curse One, Dello, and Flict-G at seventh.

K-Pop group, EXO, entered the list with their Call Me Baby
while Kapuso heartthob Alden RIchards landed on the tenth spot with his "Wish I May" video.

Kim Chiu celebrates ninth year in showbiz with new solo album

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu will be celebrating her ninth year in showbiz after she was declared Pinoy Big Brother's first Teen Grand Winner in April 2006. And as a gift to her fans' unwavering support, Kim, who will also be celebrating her 25th birthday in April, will be releasing her second solo album with a title that she is known for - "Chinita Princess".

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Chiu said her second album will include tracks that reflect the current state of her heart. According to her, the album is also the result of her fans' clamour to release a new album.

“Kasi sa mga shows ko abroad, naggigitara ako, kumakanta. I’m very happy na 'yung Star Records binigyan ako ng offer. I’m very happy and very excited na bumalik ulit sa music,” she said.

Chiu said that even she didn't compose any song included in the album, she had a hand in in the song selection process. “'Yung mga nag-compose ng kanta, 'yung mga bigatin. Masaya ako and sobrang excited,” she said.

According to her, the album will be different from her first album in 2006 called "Gwa Ai Di". "It’s more about looking at life in a positive way", she said. Kim will also be reprising her first single Crazy Love from her first album.

When asked about staging her own concert, Kim said

“Masaya na muna ako sa album”.

So that's like saying she's open to the idea.

“Chinita Princess” will be released in local music stores nationwide in April.

Is Angel Locsin going to have her own music album too?

A photo (above) that says "She Will Make It Right" surfaced on the Internet a few days ago. Though the identity wasn't revealed, some netizens speculated that the eyes belong to Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin.

One netizen noted that the photo was the same photo used for Locsin's 2012 MMFF movie One More Try (below).

Today, a new clip was uploaded at the official Facebook page of Star Records, ABS-CBN's music arm where half of the face was revealed and another photo which shows a topless body with arms covering her chest.

The photo, again, was from one of Angel's publicity photos for Folded and Hung

In her Instagram account, Angel posted a screenshot of of songs playlist where her name appeared as the artist of the songs. Angel laughed off upon seeing her name on it. And we quote:

"@therealangellocsin: natawa naman ako dito! thank you naman star records at may album na pala ako! Haha!😂#HindiLangPangPhotoAlbum"

Fans were also excited and kept asking the actress if she's indeed having her own music album but she didn't drop a hint regarding the issue.

So... is she having her own music album too? Just asking...

The Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo reaches another milestone in her career as she hits a record-breaking GOLD Record Award for her self-titled debut album on its first day of release in record outlets.

The award was given at ASAP Sunday afternoon, December 14. Launched just a week (Dec. 7) at ASAP, "Kathryn" made a record sales of 7,500 units a day after it was released.

Among the songs included in Kathryn’s album are three revivals – Sharon Cuneta’s “Mr. DJ,” Cris Villongco’s “Crush ng Bayan,” and Heart Evangelista’s “Love Has Come My Way.”

Philippines very own Pop Star Royalty Sarah Geronimo has rendered her voice for the official anthem of Disney princesses. The most awaited music video of "The Glow" premiered Saturday morning on Disney channel.

‘The Glow’ was first created for Rapunzel’s coronation ceremony in 2011 and soon won our hearts as the global Princess anthem.

Disney chose Sarah to sing the English version, but the company also worked with artists from Asia to create localized renditions of the song – performed by popular performers like Oranicha Krincha from Thailand, Daiyan Trisha from Malaysia, and Chilla Kiana from Indonesia.

When asked for her reaction upon seeing the music video for the first time, Sarah shared,

Maroon 5 has released the new music video for “Animals,” and it’s disturbing to say the least.

In the clip, Adam Levine plays an unhinged butcher obsessed with a blond beauty played by Adam's real-life wife Behati Prinsloo. The video was directed by Samuel Bayer - the same director who manned Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome to the Black Parade”.

The creepy stalker takes photos of his prey as she sleeps, and strips down in a meat locker while singing “I can smell your scent from miles.”

In an odd fantasy sequence, Levine dreams of making love to Prinsloo as gallons of blood rain down on them. Ugh!
