Star Cinema acquires more Summit titles for movie adaptation

Star Cinema has acquired four more titles from Summit Publishing. ABS-CBN's film outfit has secured the rights of the following bestsellers:

"The Bet" by Kimberly Joy Villanueva
"Seducing Jake Palma" by Ariesa Jane Domingo
"Three Words Eight Letters, Say It I Will Be Yours" by Jade Pitogo
"Ang Boyfriend Kong Artista" by Ella Larena.

In addition, Star Cinema will also be acquiring "Secretly Married"

Prior to this, Star Cinema has announced the adapatation of The Bet which will star for the first time Enrique Gil and the newest It girl Liza Soberano.

Present at the contract signing this Friday July 4 are Star Cinema Head Ms Malou Santos and Head of Creative Ms Olivia Lamasan with Summit President Ms Liza Gokongwei and the authors of the said books.

Star Cinema had previously made a novel adapted for movie. The Kim Chiu-Xian Lim starrer Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo made more than 100-million pesos at the box office and the soon be shown She's Dating the Gangster starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
