ABS-CBN's hit primetime series The Legal Wife has reached it's highest rating for its Wednesday episode entitled The True Lies #TLWTheTrue Lies with a whooping 27.3% a 3% jump from its 24.1% rating of its preceding Tuesday episode #TLWTheUnveiling.
The Legal Wife's previous record was held by its fourth episode with 25.2% on its pilot week.
Aside from becoming viral topics on social media websites every night, The Legal Wife is also consistently defeating its rival GMA show Rhodora X on the ratings game which only posted 12.5% based on the Wednesday episode.
Incidentally, the Wednesday episode of ABS-CBN's hit primetime drama is also the day its lead star Angel Locsin celebrated her 29th birthday. The actress was surprised by her boyfriend Luis Manzano by giving her a visit at the set.
Luis Manzano posted on his Instragram account a photo of him kissing Angel Locsin on her birthday and with a caption as birthday message which reads...
Happy happy birthday to my unbelievable young lady, my girlfriend, my Kiti @therealangellocsin :) i became a fan of destiny when you came back into my life :) happy birthday love ko!!! :)

Angel delivered a very thorough comprehensive realistic portrayal, talk about her depth and versatility as an actress
yet again, the role demands her to get into different stages in her life, as daughter, loving wife, betrayed and later angry wife
Angel just nailed every scene, truly impressive
this should nail that international Emmys hopefully esp since this is a more socially relevant project than Lobo
Happy Birthday of course to a truly talented actress
more better written projects since you have it all and deserve to showcase your talents in everything that you do

ReplyDeleteso far, this has to be the most riveting, realistic, and thanks to Angel, this time, the wife's role was given its best treatment yet for any we've seen so far
if Angel's movie projects were all in this category, not only is she a primetime queen, a throne the masses have long given her since her breakthrough roles back at the less rated tv network she once belonged, she should have long been the undisputed queen of drama movies
Angel's acting talent and versatility in portraying roles so far is just many miles ahead of any of her counterparts
writers and directors and the creative people ought to give justice every time they think of projects to give Angel
Darna is a most awaited project not only because of the iconic role but for many its because its the Angel Locsin doing it
what makes The Legal Wife another special acting project for Angel?

the creative team made sure the role of the wife, won't take a backseat compared to most recent mistress projects, although there's a tendency to highlight the mistress too
nevertheless, the more emotionally draining acting parts, over the limit sometimes were given to the Wife
and whatever the creative team required Angel do, Angel did so convincingly and so effortlessly
its an acting project indeed that can land Angel not only local awards, but due to the difficulty and the social relevance of the project, should also land her an international award
her acting here is one for the books, the range and depth from the No Acting Please style to the Melodrama its as if Angel can do any or both and shift from one style to another with so comfortable ease, that she makes it look so easy
the clincher here is, Angel is made to do so many transitions in her life, role and Angel has shown in the past how good she is at this transition transformation of character
we noted it conspicously in In The Name of Love, esp from the young Cedes to the more mature Cedes
and here again, we will see this roller coaster phases of emotions
there were times, the director only wanted the show of emotions to be subdued and only eyes do the acting and Angel was perfect and even if not everybody agrees and likes the Melodrama school of acting, Angel did it how it is usually done and quite convincingly too in spite this acting school's flaws
it's amazing how Angel has mastered it all
its no surprise that her phases of show of emotions is always something to look forward too, Angel can do a lot of things that's why she's unpredictable
there are so many ways to skin a cat they say, Angel surely has mastered it all
and really its up to the creative team to make sure everything is in order
since Angel delivers each time
and the beauty of it, the creative team is pressured not to fail her
something to look forward to each time and a big challenge to the creative team to dish out something for Angel to work on
