Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo led the poll conducted by Star Cinema's website for a non-ABS-CBN actor to be featured on their next movie. Trillo, who was a former ABS-CBN talent in early 2000s, placed at the top of the poll with 39.67% (215 votes) followed by fellow kapuso Alden Richards with close 32.1% (174 votes).
Others who were included in the list are Aljur Abrenica (17.9%), Rocco Nacino (4.8%), Elmo Magalona (3.87%) all of them are Kapuso talents while Vin Abernica (1.66%) is a TV5 exclusive talent.
It will be recalled that Star Cinema has been featuring exclusive GMA talents on their past movies. Richard Gutierrez made a 100-million movie with KC Concepcion in 2008 Star Cinema movie For The First Time.
Dingdong Dantes had already three: Segunda Mano (2011) with Kris Aquino, One More Try (2012) with Angel Locsin, and She's The One (2013) with Bea Alonzo - all of which have passed the 100-million peso mark.
Dennis Trillo, on the other hand, prior to the poll, his manager Popoy Caritativo had negotiated with the film arm's top boss Malou Santos in December of last year that his ward will be doing a movie soon with a top kapamilya leading lady.
