Richard Gomez denied reports that ABS-CBN executives were disappointed of him taking a project outside of Kapamilya network. Gomez who accepted an offer from TV-5 to reunite him withe the megastar Sharon Cuneta in a recently-concluded tawaserye Madam Chairman.
"Hindi", started Richard. "Sinabihan ko naman si Tita Cory [Vidanes], e. Tinanong niya, 'Talaga?' 'Oo, ' sabi ko. Okey naman."
The actor also confirmed the series he's supposed to do with former sweetheart Dawn Zulueta for ABS-CBN tentatively titled You're My Home is not pushing through.
"Hindi, e,” confirms Goma "Naunang nawala yung teleserye, e. Kaya nga sabi ko sa kanila, since wala pa tayong gagawin na teleserye, naka-stall pa yung movie namin ni Gretchen, sabi ko, anyways, 13 weeks lang naman 'to, e."
It will also be remembered that there was an offer to reunite him with Sharon Cuneta in a movie under Star Cinema but the actor said there's nothing clear if it will also push through.
"Dapat, pero wala pa, e. So, I think mas maganda mag-reunion kung sa TV muna. Maganda kasi… Ah, at least for a change na comedy naman ang gagawin namin. Something light, something different,” Richard said referring to his upcoming TV5 comedy show My Pirated Family with Cuneta.
