Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu has accepted the challenged posed by Kris TV headwriter Darla Sauler to take the ice bucket challenge. Chiu, who was challenged by Sauler yesterday morning at Kris TV, still managed to donate an amount to alsa.org even if it had exceeded the 24-hour limit
The actress posted a screenshot bearing her name to her Instagram account @chinitaprincess.
"donation done!!!!! pwede bang challenge to follow nalang? @darlasauler haha came from taping and now shooting naman.. (magipon lang ako ng lakas) haha --->donate through alsa.org #alsicebucketchallenge"
Kim, who's still busy on doing showbiz work and commitments, begged off to do the challenge on time but promise to do it once she had gathered enough strength and rest.
The Ice Bucket Challenge is a campaign to raise awareness and funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) patients. ALS is a neurodegenerative disease which causes the patient to lose control of his muscles and eventually become paralyzed.
To date, more than $70 million has been raised via the ice bucket challenge which will go to research and caring for ALS patients.
