Willie Revillame has ended an almost a year of speculations that he's moving to GMA7. The TV Host has officially signed an airtime contract with the Kapuso Network on Friday noon, March 20.
An airtime contract doesn't hold Revillame as network's talent but as a blocktimer. Blocktimers produce shows to be aired on a network which they pay for an airtime. According to reports, the TV host will pay the network P2 million per week for his show, which will reportedly air every Sunday from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
GMA7's CEO Atty. Gozon expressed his delight for Revillame's move and admitted that the former rival from ABS-CBN has a very large following.
"We are pleased to have Willie Revillame's program in the Network. Willie has a very large following. Through our partnership with WBR Entertainment, GMA Network will be a part of the long awaited return of Willie Revillame on television."
Revillame, whose career started on GMA7 via "Lunch Date" felt it was like a homecoming. "Dito naman ako nagsimula sa GMA. Kumbaga, nag-abroad lang ako. Ngayon, nagbabalik na ko,"
WowoWin, the title of Revillame's soon to hosted show is a weekly program which will start airing on April 26, Sunday from 3:30-5:00pm.
