Dolce Amore actor Matteo Guidicelli has responded to news anchor Teddy Locsin Jr.'s (TLJ) criticism on his Italian accent.
In a conversation with ABS-CBN reporter Lynda Jumilla on Twitter, TLJ told the latter how pathetic the actor mimicking an Italian on the ABS-CBN's primetime series. Locsin wasn't familiar with Guidicelli and that the actor has an Italian blood (his father is all-Italian).
But no matter how netizens explain that Matteo is half Italian, TLJ insists how it lacks authenticity on his part to act/sound as an Italian.
@QueenLeah24 @lyndajumilla No, not Enrique Gil. The other one pretending to be Italian. Anyway, I have PangakoSayo.— Teddy Locsin Jr. (@teddyboylocsin) March 31, 2016
On Twitter today, Matteo quoted the tweet of TLJ and known for being a gentleman, Matteo just thanked the news anchor and told that he'll keep the criticism in mind. But his last line is just as meaningful, "I like pretending I'm Italian. :)", he said.
Matteo also thanked a netizen who thinks his English and Tagalog with Italian accent is authentic.
In the end, the Dolce Amore actor expressed desire to move on from the incident by sending "good vibes" tweet.Thank you š https://t.co/95ifbkSVcZ— Matteo Guidicelli (@mateoguidicelli) April 1, 2016
