Carol Banawa, an ABS-CBN talent in the 90s and an alumna of Ang TV proudly announced on her Instagram account that her hit 90s song Bakit Di Totohanin was used as a background song in a date night scene of Stefan and Valerie in The Vampire Diaries.
Banawa, who is now based in the US was in disbelief and thankful to the musical supervisor of the hit US series and its star Ian Somerhalder who also directed the specific episode.
"They have aired it already! š #thevampirediaries used my song in one of the scenes for the episode 716. It was a scene between Stefan and Valerieš They used, "BAKIT DI TOTOHANIN" ššš I am in disbelief right now but very grateful! Will be watching it tonight! Bakit Di Totohanin was also used as the theme song of Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual film with the same title under Star Cinema in 2001.
