Film and tv director Jose Javier Reyes was stopped by some security personnel after the alarm was triggered upon his exit of Uniqlo branch in The Block of SM North EDSA.
Reyes took to his Twitter account @DirekJoey on Wednesday, February 25 the incident and expressed his disappointment and embarrassment he suffered from the store. According to him, the cashier forgot to take out the security tab from one of his purchases which made the alarms ringing on his way out.
This prompted the security of the store to search for his bag and his receipt be verified.
"The embarrassment of having my bag searched, my receipt verified because the stupidity of your employee tells me, Uniqlo, that I love H&M !" H&M is also another apparel store which came from Sweden.
The director also addressed the Twitter account of UNIQLO that embarassing the customers because of incompetence isn't a good thing.
"Embarrassing your customers because incompetence of your workers, ain't a good thing, @UNIQLOPH The Block."
Reyes is known in showbiz industry as a straightforward critic of films and socio-political issues in the country. And from this time forward, a 'Shopping Critic' ain't a bad idea to be added on his portfolio.
