Xian Lim apologetic after offending "Bea" in Chinese New Year countdown celebration

Actor Xian Lim was deeply apologetic for causing negative feelings after his performance on stage of Banana Nite in time for Chine New Year's eve countdown. The Bride for Rent lead actor posted a series of tweets on his Twitter account @XianLimm early morning of Friday, January 31.

"I deeply apologize if I caused negative feelings while singing onstage during the Chinese New Years Eve countdown..."

"It was not my intention, and I take full responsibility for my actions."

"HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :-)"

The incident.

Xian Lim acknowledged the presence of a Chinese girl on stage of Chinese New Year eve celebration to which he said  and asked later, “Maraming, maraming salamat! Sino ‘to?” Lim said while laughing “Anong ginagawa ni Bea Binene dito?” referring to the girl who's more of a look-alike of Bride For Rent co-star Kim Chiu.

Bea Binene is one of the hottest female teen stars of GMA Network.

The actor turned to Jayson (Gainza) and said, "Nag-guest siya from GMA,” before laughing again. Jayson also asked the girl the same question but Xian interjected, “Tanungin natin kung anong teleserye niya sa GMA. Si Bea Binene.”

Anne Curtis renews contract with ABS-CBN; Happy for Vhong Navarro too

Anne Curtis signs new contract with ABS-CBN. Present with her on the table are no less than ABS-CBN big bosses Gabby Lopez and Charo Santos-Concio. Bongga!

Kim Chiu and Coco Martin star in new ABS-CBN show Ikaw Lamang

ABS-CBN presented to media the cast of the network's newest teleserye under the roof of Dreamscape lead by the primetime king Coco Martin and teleserye princess Kim Chiu. Both stars came fresh from their successful projects respectively - Juan Dela Cruz and Bride For Rent.

Martin and Chiu have worked together in previous soap in Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo in 2010 but as brother and sister. Joining the cast are Coco's former loveteam partner Julia Montes and Jake Cuenca who just came from the recently-concluded Maria Mercedes.

Ikaw Lamang  is a period love story to be helmed by Malu Sevilla and Avel Sunpongco and intended to air first quarter of 2014 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.

Messages of sympathy for Vhong Navarro overflow in social media websites

Fans and non-fans alike expressed concern and sympathy to Kapamilya TV host Vhong Navarro when he appeared on ABS-CBN Sunday afternoon showbiz talk show Buzz ng Bayan to express his side regarding the rape accusations thrown at him.

Hashtags on Twitter and Facebook like #PrayForVhongNavarro and #JusticeforVhongNavarro are trending  for three days already since the news broke on Friday evening January 24.


Messages and memes on Twitter and Facebook are currently flooding the timeline of netizens in social media asking for justice be served to those who have wronged the kapamilya tv host. Most of them are in rage and express disgust on the issue.

One of them is a scene from the movie Taken which has been used several times and captioned as, "Kilala ko na kayo Deniece Cornejo at Cedric Lee. And I will find you and I will kill you."

Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee were the names Navarro named during the interview. Cornejo, according to several blog reports is a granddaughter of GMA Network's top executive where the news regarding the police blotter against the TV host first came out.

Vhong Navarro names the girl who set him up

Vhong Navarro tells all in an interview by Boy Abunda in Buzz ng Bayan. The TV host still looked terrible with face swollen and eyes black and blue. The name of the girl goes like Deniece Milinette Cornejo.

Navarro appeared emotional while narratting the ordeal he went through which happened on Wednesday, January 22.  The doctor said the host will have to undergo surgery due to injuries he sustained and the “contusion hematoma around his eyes, forehead, chin and some parts of his extremities."

Kris Aquino calls Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano her "future Inaanak"

In two separate posts of Kris Aquino on her Instagram account, the TV host referred to Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano her "future inaanak sa kasal".

Aquino went all the way to Dubai together with KrisTV crew to join the other 40+ stars of ASAP for a concert held on Friday, January 25. In the said Instagram post concerning Angel Locsin, the two were seen talking at the backstage of the kapamilya actress who might have shared something about the status of her relationship with Luis Manzano.

Vhong Navarro temporarily leaves It's Showtime due to beating up by unidentified men

It's Showtime host Vhong Navarro temporarily leaves his noontime show on ABS-CBN It's Showtime after being tied, beaten up, and threatened by still unidentified men inside a condominuim unit Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The actor is currently recovering after being absent for two days. According to Film Director Chito Roño, Navarro's manager, the actor was invited by a female friend to visit her in the said condo unit but got blindfolded and beaten up when he reached the premises.

Aside from extortion being pointed as a reason, there seems to be another reason they're looking at behind the attack.

Here's the statement of Roño sent to ABS-CBN news.

"Si Vhong Navarro ay naimbitihan sa isang condominium unit sa Fort ng isang kaibigang babae. At sa di pa malamang kadahilanan, siya ay piniringan, pinagtulungang bugbugin, ginapos, tinakot, at hinihingan ng pera ng isang grupo ng kalalakihan noong January 22, Miyerkules.

"Si Vhong ay kasalukuyang nagpapagaling at mawawala ng pansamantala sa 'It's Showtime' at iba pa niyang proyekto."
