Barbie Forteza is a recipient of NCCA's "Ani Ng Dangal" award

Kapuso teen actress Barbie Forteza must be truly proud as she is this year's recipient of National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA)'s "Ani Ng Dangal" award.

Forteza was chosen for her portrayal in a Louie Ignacio-directed Badjao film "Laut" which gave her a Best Actress awards at the 36th Fantasporto International Film Festival at Oporto in Portugal, Incidentally, the film also bagged a Special Mention of the Jury award

In her Instagram post, the actress thanked the commission for the award.

Other stars who have received such honor in the past are Jericho Rosales, Jake Cuenca, Anita Linda, Brillante Mendoza, and no less than the Stars for All Seasons Ms. Vilma Santos.

Forteza is currently seen in GMA primetime series Meant To Be.


But hey, they got her last name spelled wrong. Not a good way of recognizing one's honor, right?
