Former teen actor John Wayne Sace has survived a single gunshot by unidentified gunmen in Pasig City Monday night, October 10.

In his sister's Facebook post, Queen Sace wrote that he is already out of danger.

“My brother is out of danger. In behalf of our family, we thank all those who prayed for his safety.

“Opposite from what was in the news or in the social media, my brod had undergone series of test[s] and now in a stable vitality.”

According to a report written by Manila Bulletin, two unidentified men riding in a motorcycle shot Sace and his friend who was later declared dead on arrival. Senior Superintendent Orlando Yebra, Jr., Pasig police chief, identified the other person as Erik “Erik Mata” Sabino, both residents of Feliciano St. in Barangay Sagad in Pasig.

The motive is yet to be identified by authorities.

Sace became known when he was immediately cast  in a Vilma Sanots movie Dekada 70 in 2002. A member of the Star Magic, he was initially paired with Maja Salvador in the teleserye “Spirits” and was included in the teen group Anime together with Rayver Cruz.  Rumored to have an attitude problem and being a young father in 2010, his career suffered and took a downturn.
