Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo quoted the President's reaction upon learning that Steve Harvey will host Miss U: "What? Ayoko 'yun." Teo said the President plans to replace Harvey.
According to Teo, Harvey has 5-year contract with Miss Universe organization. So if he can't be replaced, Teo would ask for a female media person to be co-host to appease the President.
Harvey rose to fame among Filipinos after he mistakenly announced the winnner - Miss Colombia instead of Miss Philippines - at last year's event.
Miss U main pageant will be held at Mall of Asia arena on January 30, 2017. Other cities considered as venues are Davao, Cebu, Iloilo, Vigan. Bb. Pilipinas Universe Maxine Medina represents the country for next year's pageant.
