Ex-couple Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson are set to star in a new Star Cinema movie to be directed by Dan Vilegas.
A story conference was held for the still untitled movie at the Star Cinema office Wednesday afternoon, April 27.
Both stars expressed desire and excitement over the upcoming project. According to Bea, a project has been planned for them to work together but it was only this time that it's pushing through.
“Excited ako kasi parang matagal na. Laging almost dapat magtatrabaho kami pero ngayon lang talaga natuloy. Baka ito yung tamang timing,” she said.
Gerald, on the other hand, is looking forward to be working with the Phenomenal Star awardee of 2016 GMMSF Box Office Awards.

Unknown to many, the two stars had a short-lived romance in 2010. This is probably the reason why both of them are feeling weird and awkward at the same time.
“To be totally honest, weird because first time namin magkakasama sa pelikula,” Alonzo said.
“Kahit sino naman, kapag may bagong leading lady ka or leading man, ganun talaga, magkakaroon talaga ng awkwardness,” Anderson added.
Meanwhile, Bea described her character in the movie as extrovert - a very intuitive, extrovert. Contrary to characters she had portrayed in the past, Bea's character this time is
"galawgaw", an alpha, and a go-getter.
Gerald plays a laid back guy who came from a province, a family-oriented guy with lots of goals in life. But Gerald clarified that his goals are not leveled with Bea's character's high goals.
The movie will be helmed by Hugot King directer Dan Villegas and slated for release third quarter of the year.
