Veteran actor Roy Alvarez dies due to cardiac arrest

Veteran and character actor Roy Alvarez died after suffering from cardiac arrest today, February 11. He was 63 years old.

Roy Alvarez was known mostly for his kontrabida roles Aside from being an actor, he had also directed few movies and written script for television and movies. He was last seen in GMA-7's Villa Quintana as Don Manolo and the network's hit primetime series of 2013 in My Husband's Lover as the father of a gay son played by Kempee De Leon.

Alvarez left his wife Nieves Campa-Alvarez and daughter Miren Alvarez, both theater actors.
