Buzz is out that Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo will be headlining the Filipino version of the hit Korean movie "Miss Granny".
Entertainment editor Salve Asis wrote in her Pilipino Star Ngayon column last June 3 that Viva Entertainment's big boss Vic del Rosario personally confirmed the said rumor to her.
Asis also noted that Miss Granny is set to open in local cinemas this November.
If the project pushes through, the Philippines will be one of the countries which have adapted the said movie into local versions including Chinese, Thai, Indian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Japanese adaptations. The film is also set to have an English and Spanish version.
Miss Granny tells the story of a 74-year old bitter widow who magically returned to her 20-year old self after emerging from a photobooth she stumbled upon The original movie starred Shim Eun Kyung and Na Moon Hee and was a huge box office hit, selling over 8 million tickets.

Currently, Geronimo is busy shooting the film "Dear Future Husband" which will reunite her with John Lloyd Cruz under Viva Films and Star Cinema.
