Actor Piolo Pascual joins government service as he is chosen ambassador of the Optical Media Board (OMB) - a government agency responsible for regulating the production, use and distribution of recording media in the Philippines.
Pascual signed the agreement with OMB CEO Atty Anselmo Adriano on Wednesday, June 14 as the agency's first ever ambassador. According to Adriano, the actor will serve as the voice of the agency.

News about Pascual rendering his service for the agency started a few months ago.
"It's a privilege. It's an opportunity to exercise your celebrity [status] and use it for the right reasons," the actor said in an interview.
But when asked if he's considering entering politics in the future, he said, "I dont think so. I have a good platform already in showbiz,politics I dont see it in the horizon".
Meanwhile, Piolo is proud of his son IƱigo for the success of his son's single "Dahil Sa 'Yo" that's currently topping Spotify & BillboardPH charts.
"I told him it's ok to cry 'cause achievement yan!"
