“We want our wedding to be intimate and private – it’s our special day.”
This was what kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes said when asked how the so-called Wedding of the Year between him and fiancee Marian Rivera will be. Dingdong and Marian are currently in Dubai for a concert with another kapuso star Julie Anne San Jose in time for the opening of the Philippine Pavilion in the Global Village.
The couple also revealed during the interview with Gulf News that they are not keen on a televised wedding.
“We will see, but as of the moment we want it to be more intimate and private. At the same time, we also want to share the happiest moment of our lives with our fans,” Dantes said.
On the other hand, Marian said wedding plans are “going smoothly,” with some minute details to work on.
Marian will be wearing two gowns - one designed by Dubai-based fashion designer Michael Cinco on her wedding. The other one will be made by Francis Libiran’s for her soltera, the bridal party before the wedding.
As for the public’s expectations on their wedding, Dingdong said: “Marian and I are just simple persons. We are thankful that they considered us the so-called ‘royal couple’, but we just want to enjoy the moment and be the happiest persons on our wedding day.”
Well, to us, it just doesn't seem possible. How could a wedding be intimate and private when every detail of the wedding plans is announced - from the wedding date and venue to entourage and everything? Just asking...
