Actor Jake Cuenca was rushed to the hospital after he figured in a bike accident on Tuesday morning, ABS-CBN News reported.
Mr. Juanito Cuenca, Jake's father, was interviewed on DZMM and told Jake trains everyday in the vicinity of the Mall of Asia grounds and it was this morning when a truck stopped in front of the actor while he was training around and he did not have enough time to break.
"Tinamaan niya yung truck. Dumiretso siya sa ospital. Nasa emergency room siya, nasa trauma," Mr. Cuenca said.
Jake was rushed to the Medical City by his driver where he was given immediate treatment.
Mr. Cuenca added that Jake was in a lot of pain while doctors were treating him
The actor has been discharged from the hospital but he is scheduled to undergo surgery on the two broken bones on his hand this Friday.
Currently, Jake is set to appear in the upcoming ABS-CBN series "Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin" with Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu where he plays the role of a triathlete.
