The Queen of All Media Kris Aquino was rushed to the hospital yesterday, August 24, after she suffered from severe vascular headache. She was rushed to the hospital because of alarming symptoms like vomiting several times and high blood pressure. Aquino’s blood pressure shot up to 200/110 in the Emergency Room of the hospital, which could cause her a stroke.
The Etiquette of the Mistresses lead actress knows she gets constant reminders from her sisters and brother, loved ones and fans to slow down at work and take care of her health.
Kris Aquino wrote on her Instagram post and we quote:

I'm headed home but I need to first say THANK YOU to my sons & siblings (Pinky & Manolo, Viel & Dodo, and PNoy who went straight to the hospital from the airport after his Cebu trip) - I had a severe, vascular headache from 3 PM while taping @kristvofficial_ig, threw up 3X when I got home at 6:30 PM & when my blood pressure was taken it was 150/100. My sisters insisted I go to the ER because my symptoms were alarming. At the ER my BP was 200/110. Just a bit higher could have caused a stroke.
Thank you Dr. Ramos & Dr. Martinez (my cardiologists) & Dr. Tiongson (my neurologist) for taking good care of me. I had my complete bloodworks done upon waking up & also my ECG. I solemnly promise to follow all their instructions, take my medication & I will never again abuse my body because I was a slave to my work. My goal now is to achieve a healthy work & life balance.
Last night was a scary wake up call for me & my loved ones, but it also made me realize how much my siblings & sons love & care for me. It really put my priorities in proper perspective.
I was told to have complete rest for the next few days & to try to be stress free. So I'll be signing off while I recuperate.
P.S. PNoy said, "Kristina, yung sa Customs they'll give a thorough explanation & a demonstration of the XRay machines to be used on Wednesday." I hope that I remembered his message accurately & I pray for a peaceful resolution for all concerned.

The actress has since been discharged from the hospital and is now resting at home. PNoy, who rushed to the hospital after arriving from Cebu, also took the time to inform his sister about an update on the balikbayan box controversy. “Kristina, yung sa Customs they'll give a thorough explanation & a demonstration of the XRay machines to be used on Wednesday,” Kris quoted her brother. Kris had previously promised to forward OFW concerns about the boxes as best she could.
