Alden will join Malaysian actor/host Adrian Pang, Korean-American tv host Stephanie Carrington and Baki Zainal to host the most celebrated event in Asian Television.
“It is truly an honor to be hosting this year’s Asian Television Awards and celebrate the best television content that Asia has to offer,” Alden was quoted as saying regarding this development.
Prior to the announcement, the Asian TV Awards website has written an article about Alden hinting that something special is being prepared for the AlDub fans. We quote,
"Let’s admit it, we’re pretty much fans of the AlDub couple (made up of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza), and how they have managed to capture the imaginations of millions from Team Pinoy worldwide. Here, at Asian Television Awards, we’ve in fact developed a relationship with AlDub Nation (a.k.a. AlDub fandom) and even ran several articles related to both Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza."
Cleary, Alden's inclusion to the stellar cast of Asian hosts is something that' can be credited to his AlDub team-up with Maine Mendoza.
