Dennis Trillo stars in GMA7's New Series "The One That Got Away"

GMA 7 has a new series coming up and it stars no less than the kapuso network's Drama King Dennis Trillo. Titled "The One That Got Away",

The series had its story conference today, October 18 and introduced the actor playing the "title role".

Dennis will be working with not one, not two, but three leading ladies - Rhian Ramos, Max Collins, and Primera Aktresa Lovi Poe.

Dennis plays Liam/William - the ex-boyfriend of the characters played by the three ladies..

Things got intense between the two female lead stars of the movie The Significant Other. Erich Gonzales is wounded after an intense slapping fight scene with Lovi Poe while the latter had swollen neck.

According to an Instagram post ni Ahwel Paz,

Lovi apologized after the scene while Erich was left at the backstage crying. The shoot was termporarily halted due to the untoward incident.

It’s a WRAP and it’s SARAP to see Erich Gonzales and Lovi Poe hugged after an intense scene. Our shooting was put into a temporary halt after an incident I previously shared. Erich insisted there is no issue between her and Lovi. At the end of the sene, the two stars hugged  each other.

GMA7 has released the trailer for its upcoming primetime series "Someone To Watch Over Me" which will pair up Tom Rodriguez and Lovi Poe for the first time.

In the video, Joanna (Lovi) and TJ (Tom) play married couple starting to build their own family. But what if the memories they've built together start to fade?

TJ was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease. This disease is the most common form of dementia. Dementia is a general term for the loss of memory functions or other mental abilities that affect your daily life.

But a heart that truly loves, never forgets.

Someone To Watch Over Me also stars Max Collins, Jackie Lou Blanco, Isay Alvarez, Ronnie Lazaro, Boy 2 Quizon, and Edu Manzano under the direction of Maryo J. Delos Reyes. The series starts airing on September 5 replacing the timeslot of Juan Happy Love Story.

Lovi Poe renews contract with GMA Network

Kapuso actress Lovi Poe has renewed her contract with GMA Network on Tuesday, July 26. Tagged as the Primera Aktresa of her home network, Lovi is set to do a primetime series which will pair her up with Tom Rodriguez in Someone To Watch Over Me.

Present in the contract signing are GMA Network's big bosses Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon, Chief Financial Officer Felipe Yalong, SVP for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable, and others.

According to her, she's happy with the network and she won't be picky w roles. "I just want an acting piece."

Lovi started her acting career on GMA 7 via Carlo J. Caparas' Bakekang with Yasmien Kurdi and Sunshine Dizon. Since then, her star continues to shine while receiving acting awards from different award-giving bodies mostly from indie films.

The kiss which lasted for at least 10 seconds, made Derek looked a bit dizzy as evident in this gif.

As a result, Lovi giving him a pat on his butt.

We're curious as to the facial reaction of Derek. Was he overly got high of Lovi's kiss or something else?

The producers initially picked Ellen Adarna but due to alleged attitude problems, she was later replaced by Poe.

GMA's New Series: Someone To Watch Over Me starring Tom Rodriguez and Lovi Poe

Tom Rodriguez and Lovi Poe are set to star in GMA7's upcoming drama on primetime, "Someone To Watch Over Me". The series tackles the dreadful Alzheimer's disease. It's a story of love's presence in the absence of love.

The show which had  a story conference yesterday, July 4 also stars Max Collins, Boy 2 Quizon, Ronnie Lazaro, and to be helmed by veteran and multi-awarded director Maryo J. Delos Reyes.

Someone To Watch Over Me is set to premiere third quarter of 2016.

But wait, didn't ABS-CBN had previously announced a series with the same title last year? It was supposed to star Richard Yap, Diether Ocampo, and Judy Ann Santos who was found out pregnant a few months after it was announced, hence, the cancellation.

Lovi Poe stunned the audience and netizens alike during her performance on GMA7's franchise of Lip Sync Battle. Lovi performed Britney Spears' hit "I'm A Slave For You" and she set the stage on fire.

The actress made "buwis-buhay" stunts that even her celebrity competitor (Solenn Heussaff) for the episode can't contain her excitement and astonishment over Lovi's fiery performance.

Lovi Poe gets hospitalized after being bitten by her pet dog

Lovi Poe spent her early morning of weekend inside a hospital room after being bitten by her pet dog. According to an Instagram post of her boyfriend Rocco Nacino, Señor (a maltese) and Seth (a shih tzu) had an altercation.

"My poor baby.. Got bitten during Señor and Seth's altercation 😔straight to the hospital now..:(", Rocco wrote on his post.

This is in fact the second time Lovi was bitten by Señor, the pet dog which her bestfriend Heart Evangelista gave to her as a gift a few years ago.

We wonder if these dogs had some issue regarding Lovi's #pabebe video posted before the fight.

Director Erik Matti vents out frustration on Lovi Poe's refusal to do Tiktik movie's sequel

Director Erik Matti aired his frustration on his Facebook account over Lovi Poe's refusal to reprise her role in Kubot - a movie sequel of Tiktik which Matti wrote, directed, and co-produced in 2012.

The reason why the actress turned down and go against the contract was because she was required to shoot the movie in just two days.

“I am pissed that a starlet like Lovi Poe would have the gall to go against the contract she signed just because she does not want to do a two-day role,” Erik angrily stated.

According to Matti, the lengthy post on Facebook was long overdue because he didn't want to put negativity on the film's publicity but decided to post it  because the production team could still not find a replacement for Love Poe.

The multi-awarded director and script writer also emphasized that he won’t be getting Lovi or any of Leo Dominguez’ talents in his future projects.

I've always thought highly of actors, stars and celebrities being intelligent enough to make the right choices for the roles they want to play on films. I have been disappointed several times in the past but I am always hopeful that maybe next time actors will make the right one.

I am currently doing the sequel to Tiktik The Aswang Chronicles that starred Dingdong Dantes, Joey Marquez, Janice de Belen, Ramon Bautista and Lovi Poe. Yes, Lovi Poe. She played the girlfriend of Dingdong as the requisite pregnant damsel in distress in a siege film. It may not be as important a film as a Cinemalaya entry but I think it's a fun worthy project to do.

The sequel Kubot The Aswang Chronicles takes off where the first one ended with Dingdong and Lovi along with their newly born baby Macky rushing to leave the town of Pulupandan.

We have a new leading lady for the 2nd film. This time it will be played by Isabelle Daza. So you might ask what happened to Lovi? Well, Lovi will supposedly be in the film for 2 shooting days. That will be how long the opening part will be shot. I leave you guys to figure out what happens there but after that opening sequence, the story continues after two years of that incident.

So technically, the lead actress In the first film Lovi Poe will only be shot for 2 days here in the 2nd film.

Now that's where we encountered problems.

In franchise movies like these, we in Reality Entertainment, AgostoDos and GMA films, as producers think beyond than just one film and we stipulate in our contracts for the actors that they should be ready to do 3 films. That holds true for Dingdong (even if he is a co-producer), Joey Marquez, Janice De Belen (even if she died on the first one. Who knows, she might re-appear as the ghost conscience of Joey Marquez) , Ramon Bautista (that even if his Bart character died, he's now back in the 2nd film in a surprise role) and of course, Lovi.

For months now, we, the producers and the production have been struggling to negotiate with Lovi and her managers to shoot the opening sequence. Over a month ago, we got word that she does not want to do it because it was just for two days. We dangled every possible option just to get her to agree with us EVEN WHEN WE HAVE A SOLID CONTRACT TO HOLD HER UP TO THIS 2nd film, but she and her manager Leo Dominguez still said no. (Even if, by the way, our new lead actress, Isabelle Daza is also coming from the same manager).

The final straw that made us decide it would be impossible to get Lovi Poe to do the role was when they said yes but demanded a ridiculous amount of money for it. There I realized, "Tangina, wala talagang plano 'tong Lovi na 'to na gawin 'tong sequel. Huhuthutan lang kami nito na parang nangongotong na pulis!"

This post is long overdue. As part producer of the film, I don't want any negative publicity to put the film in a bad light. I only decided today to post this because it has been 3 weeks now and we have been looking for a replacement for Lovi and we couldn't find anyone. I just realized, Lovi screwed us up! And even with a contract binding us to her, showbusiness doesn't really operate that way. As much as possible, whatever the conflict, avoid any corporate and legal confrontation.
I am pissed that a starlet like Lovi Poe would have the gall to go against the contract she signed just because she does not want to do a two-day role.

We will, of course, still find a replacement for her after all the burden she put on us and the production.

Just want to vent out my frustration at how these managers and starlets think so highly of themselves. Gumawa lang ng Muslim Musliman na indie kala mo serious actor na.

This will be the last time I will get a talent from Leo Dominguez. And Lovi Poe, kahit maliit lang kaming production company, you will never get any offer from us again. Good luck on your world-changing teleseryes. Fuck you very much for fucking us up!
