Daniel Padilla is MMFF 2013 Male Star of the Night; Performs Nasa "Yo Na Ang Lahat with Kathryn Bernardo

While Robin Padilla and his 10000 Hours MMFF entry are clearly the big winners of the night, his nephew Daniel Padilla takes home the pride as the teen king was chosen the Mavshack Male Star of the Night.

Dressed in black suit and bow tie, Daniel Padilla wowed the audience and drew some shrieks on the side when he accepted the recognition. His female counterpart as Mavshack Female Star of the Night is Kimmy Dora lead star Eugene Domingo.

Daniel Padilla and on (and off?) -screen partner Kathryn Bernardo performed Daniel's hit single Nasa 'Yo Na Ang Lahat. Fans were not able to contain their "kiligs" while the couple sings. Their movie Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay, which is at third place in 3-day box office gross, was also given the youth choice award.

Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay stars today's hottest loveteam - Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla or KathNiel.

The movie is based on a Filipino superstitious belief that one should never go home directly after visiting a wake since it risks bringing evil spirits to one's home. One should first shake off (in Filipino, pagpag) whatever curse there may be to avoid being trailed by the soul of the dead.

Pagpag also marks the return of Star Cinema and Regal Films to do a collaboration movie after several years. Under the direction of a neophyte director Frasco Mortiz, the movie is expected to make thrills and frills in theaters come Christmas Day as it is one of the official entries in Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2013).

The movie also stars Shaiina Magdayao, Matet De Leon, Miles Ocampo, Janus del Prado, Dominic Ochoa, and Paulo Avelino with the special participation of Enchong Dee, Empress Schuck, and Erich Gonzales.
