Angelica Panganiban gets replaced by Shaina Magdayao in "Victims of Love"

Angelica Panganiban is being replaced by Shaina Magdayao in ABS-CBN's upcoming teleserye "Asintado" formerly titled "Victims of Love".

Angelica was supposed to star in the series with Julia Montes and Lorna Tolentino which the network announced first quarter of the year.

Panganiban had to drop out of "Asintado" since she has two film projects on queue. First one is Wife, Husband, Wife which is currently on hold since her co-stars Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez are currently busy taping for in La Luna Sangre.

The other movie is "Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes" with Judy Ann Santos which is already in its production phase.

But prior to Shaina's replacement, it was Isabelle Daza who was chosen first for the role but was rumored to be pregnant, thus, Shaina taking Angelica's role.

Currently, Shaina has started taping for the series since last month Netziens have shared behind-the-scenes photos of the actress portraying her role as Samantha.

Aside from Julia Montes and Shaina Magdayao, also in the cast are Cherrie Pie Picache, Paulo Avelino, Agot Isidro, Aljur Abrenica, JC Santos, and Lorna Tolentino.

Under the direction of Onat Diaz and Lino Cayetano under Dreamscape production, Asintado is slated to be shown on television first quarter of 2018.

Look: Elisse Joson tries surfing; sustains minor injuries

Unlike many celebrities who celebrated the holiday by dressing up and attending Halloween parties, Elise Joson took some time off the city to unwind and relax with some of her friends.

Elisse packed her bags and went off north of Manila to try surfing. Where else? In Baler, Aurora - every surfer's favorite place because of its close proximity to the metro.

On her first day, she was able to fulfill her dream - that is - to become a mermaid. At least with a piece of bedding cut like a mermaid's tail. :)

And then she tried this - SURFING!

Just when she thought everything was going smooth and that she has become a "surfing pro", things get rough at times.

"Yung feeling na akala mo marunong ka na sa buhay pero madadapa't madadapa ka pa rin talaga...", she captioned the video.

And sustained some scratches. OUCH!

As the saying goes, "It wasn't a waste of time if you learned something." Job well done, Elisse.

Bea Alonzo and Aga Muhlach set to star in a Paul Soriano film

Bea Alonzo and Aga Muhlach will be working together for the first time in a movie to be directed by indie filmmaker Paul Soriano (Thelma, Transit, Dukot).

Fresh from the successful run of "A Love To Last" on ABS-CBN, Alonzo, who's currently in the US for One Magical Night concert tour with LizQuen, expressed her excitement to be working for the first time with the 90s heartthrob.

Kris Bernal reveals how she manages to act out her two characters in one scene for "Impostora"

Kris Bernal is playing dual roles in GMA7's top-rating afternoon drama series "Impostora". She plays Nimfa and Rosette. The two characters aren't related to each other - one is just a "replica" of another by cosmetic surgery.

Playing dual roles on television isn't something new on Pinoy TV. Claudine Barretto, for example, has done three characters (triplets) in the late 90s ABS-CBN soap "Saan Ka Man Naroroon".

On Instagram, Kris shared videos of her while taping for the series. It shows her two characters in one scene as if they are talking to each other but literally, Kris is talking to no one - not even a double.

According to her, one scene of confrontation takes more than an hour.

"Sa mga nagtatanong: Paano naghaharap si Nimfa at Rosette? 🤣 One scene of confrontation takes more than an hour. At sa totoo lang, wala akong kausap o ka-eksena. Puro imagination lang. Bawal umalis sa pwesto! Steady lang para sa framing."

In another video, Kris is talking yet again to herself - this time a little violence was added to the scene where Rosette is hitting Nimfa with a belt. Ouch!
