Sam Milby claims he's the luckiest guy at the Star Magic Ball

Sam Milby's co-star in The Third Party Zanjoe Marudo may have bagged the Best Dressed Male at the Star Magic Ball held last Saturday, but Sam claims he's the luckiest guy of the night.

"Definitely the luckiest guy of the night 😊 #StarMagicBall2016 ", Sam wrote in the caption of the photo he posted.

And why not? For the first time, Sam walked down the red carpet with his non-showbiz Fil-Brit girlfriend model Mari Jasmine which marked their first public appearance as a couple.

"It's nice to have a date this year after such a long time", he said.

McCoy De Leon asks Elisse Joson's mom to take her daughter as his date at the Star Magic Ball

A few hours before Star Magic Ball begins, McCoy De Leon of Hashtags has asked the mother of Elisse Joson to bring her daughter as his date to the annual Star Magic Ball.

After their number on It's Showtime, McCoy revealed that he still has no date at the ball. Cheret! So he formally asked the permission of Elisse;s mom who was seated at the audience. He approached Tita Barbs (Elisse;s mom) and asked if it's okay to take Elisse as his date.

As a response, the mom said "McLisse naman iyan, di ba? Okay na yun." signalling her approval.

After getting mom's approval, McCoy gave their fans a signal to formally "raise" his offer to Elisse to be his date. A set of placards were raised that reads "Will You Be My Date, My Princess?" .

Xian Lim asks Kim Chiu to be his date at the Star Magic Ball 2016

Xian Lim has proposed to Kim Chiu... not a wedding proposal but a date to the Star Magic Ball that's going to happen later tonight.

Kim was surprised at Xian's proposal yesterday to which she later posted on her Instagram. It wasn't the first time Xian did it.

As a matter of fact, Kim it's the fourth time in four consecutive years that they will be walking down the red carpet of this grand event.

 A banner was placed in front of Kim's house that reads "Will you be my date?"

"Thank you, Mr. Right! A for effort sa pa-banner and paggulat sakin ng tanghaling tapat!" Chiu wrote as the caption, as she shared Lim's surprise on her Instagram account.

Last year, Chiu wore a Pepsi Herrera off-shoulder, beaded gown, while Lim donned a jet black suit matched with patterned slacks. The two, who are rumored to be dating, were named "Couple of the Night."

In 2014, Xian also asked Kim for a date while the latter was taping for her teleserye at midnight.

Enchong Dee's video with Mr. Pure Enery Energy Gary V and tv host Luis Manzano has gone viral. The kapamilya actor uploaded the video on his Instagam account @mr_enchongdee video which uses the Ang Probinsyano themesong "Huwag Ka Nang Umiyak".

The song itself is being used in memes by netizens as a way of re-telling a story (mostly foreign and non-teleseryes) what if it's made in the Philippines.

In the video, Enchong insists himself as being a child of Luis Manzano but the latter denies him. Gary V. then sings part of the the song live and in flesh.

Rufa Mae Quinto can't contain her excitement now that her wedding with non-showbiz partner Fil-Am Trevor Magallanes is coming nearer.

The sexy comedienne posted on her Instagram account @rufamaequinto a photo of the wedding invitation to be sent to her guests. She wrote,

"Can't believe the wedding is right around the corner.... our wedding invitations are finalized 👰🏼 Just the final touches for the wedding now. I am so excited!"

Rufa Mae is currently on her 22nd week of pregnancy. The wedding is set on November 25 this year.

Xian Lim and Coleen Garcia pair up for a new movie

Xian Lim and Coleen Garcia are set to star in a new movie to be directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, the director of the currently showing Star Cinema film The Third Party.

A story conference was held in Star Cinema's office on Friday afternoon, October 21. Xian revealed that Coleen is one of the many Kapamilya female stars he wished to work with.

Coleen, on the other hand expressed her excitement over th new project. She wrote,

"Really excited for this next movie 😍 Looking forward to working with you both for the first time, Direk @jplaxamana and @xianlimm! Thank you once again for the trust, @starcinema"

The movie is yet to be titled and will be out in cinemas soon.

Meanwhile, Xian's perennial partner Kim Chiu has  learned the news in advance. In fact, Kim is happy for her Mr. Right that new opportunities knock to each one of them even if it means that they won't be working together.

"Kami naman open naman na kami kasi hindi naman na kami teenager na napapabilang pa sa sweet loving loving, andami na kasi teen love teams. E medyo nasa mid-20s na kami so parang wag na tayong makisali doon at kung ano ang binigay sa atin trabaho yun na lang.”
