Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza gets hospitalized

After Alden Richards' minor car accident last week, Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub was brought to hospital earlier this afternoon, March 8, while working on KalyeSerye of Eat Bulaga.

Fresh from her Boracay vacation, it was her first day to report to the noontime show. Everything seems well at first until the last part of the Kalyeserye segment where some delays got noticeable.

Moments after, Maine was seen walking slowly escorted by an EB staff to the vehicle. She was brought to the University of Perpetual Help Medical Center in BiƱan, Laguna and later to St. Luke's Medical Center - Global City in Taguig.

But the other half of AlDub assured fans on Twitter that she's alright and tweeted


The facebook page of Eat Bulaga also assured fans that Maine is alright after being checked by doctors and nurses. It turned out that she complained of pains on her sides.

Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, the "Nagmamahalan kami" couple, posted on their separate Instagram accounts reminiscing their moments with their former director Francis Pasion.

KimXI first worked with the late director in the 2011 tv series "My Binondo Girl". Pasion's death was unexpected following a cardiac arrest while at his apartment in Quezon City last Saturday

Kim wrote, "ngayon lang pumasok sa isip ko na wala kana talaga direk, ang hirap paniwalaan.. Paalam sa isang napaka buti , husay at magaan katrabahong director, light lang lahat and you always give that sweet smile.. Salamat dahil isa ka sa naniwala sa kimxi (BinindoGirldays) ikaw ang one of the first two directors na nakasama namin.. Xian wrote, "This shot was taken back in 2011 nung nakatrabaho ko si Direk Francis sa My Binondo Girl. He always lifted up my spirit every time I felt down sa set. ABS-CBN releases official statement on Vivian Velez-Cristine Reyes feud

ABS-CBN Network has released its official statement through its official PR account on Instagram regarding the feud between Vivian Velez and Cristine Reyes - stars of the networ's afternoon series Tubig at Langis.

Through its statement, the network clarified that Reyes did not ask Velez to move out of the room where they both share. The production team claimed responsible on the miscommunication of the two stars. Furthermore, the network said the staff has no problem with Cristine's work ethics.

However, the statement did not clarify other points that Velez raised on her Facebook posts.

The network has reached out to both stars and hoping that the issue would be resolved soon.

In the grand press conference held for the 1-week old ABS-CBN series "The Story of Us" this afternoon, March 8, the lead stars were asked for the nth time about the real score of their relationship.

Xian admitted that he's not afraid of loving Kim nor afraid of kissing her. He's also not afraid to show to the people how much he loves Kim but wary that things might get complicated.
Kim and Xian have been screen partners since their first pairing in My Binondo Girl in 2011. Numerous tv and movie hits followed then but both have not confirmed nor denied their rleationship status.

For them, they don't want to put labels on their relationship. "We are not putting any labels, let's end it this way nagmamahalan po kami", Xian said.

Veteran actress Vivian Velez announced on Facebook yesterday that she is resigning from the ABS-CBN soap opera "Tubig at Langis" after being "upset and humiliated" by an actress. Velez did not name who the actress was but later revealed that it was Cristine Reyes.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Vivian said: "With much trepidation, I would like to tender my immediate irrevocable resignation, effective immediately, from the show, 'Tubig at Langis'."
She added: "I have never been so upset and humiliated by an actress in my entire career spanning four decades!"


"Tubig at Langis" is a soap opera that stars Cristine Reyes, Zanjoe Marudo and Isabelle Daza, along with Vivian Velez,

In an interview with showbiz news site Pep.ph, Velez admitted that the actress she was pertaining to in her post was indeed Cristine.

She said in the interview: "The straw that broke the camel's back was when we shared a designated standby room and she asked me to leave the room because she wants it only for her own."

“She bangs the doors, shouted at me. She keeps on singing 'Goodbye, Farewell' in front of my face while we are rehearsing."

Vivian said it was "the rudest thing anyone had ever done" to her.

The actress said she will meet with the producers of "Tubig at Langis" today but added her resignation is irrevocable.

"Felix Manalo" bags major awards at 2016 PMPC Star Awards for Movies

The Viva Entertainment-produced biopic "Felix Manalo" bagged major awards at the 2016 Star Awards for Movies held at the Resorts World Performing Arts Theater on Sunday, March 6.

The movie which tells the life story of Iglesia Ni Cristo's first Executive Minister, Bro. Felix Manalo, bagged five major awards including Best Movie, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Production Designer, and Original Theme Song of the Year which Sarah Geronimo performed.

Bea Alonzo was declared Best Movie Actress for the box office record-breaking film A Second Chance while Piolo Pascual and Dennis Trillo tied for Best Actor in Silong and Felix Manalo respectively.

OMG! Alden Richards figured in a car accident Friday morning

Pambansang Bae Alden Richards was figured in a minor car crash accident this Friday morning, March 4. But the actor assured fans on Twitter that he's all fine.

Richard Faulkerson Jr., Alden's father, also tweeted that his son fight and that it was a minor car accident.



Fans on Twitter expressed their concern upon hearing the incident and sent out their prayers and thanksgiving for nothing any major accident happened to Maine Mendoza's ALDUB half.
