Hert Evangelista and Chiz Escudero are now engaged

Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista is now engaged to Senator Chiz Escudero.

The announcement was made via social media. The senator apparently popped the question on Saturday, August 23, during a trip to his province Sorsogon.

Evangelista's friend, actress Lovi Poe posted a photo of the couple on her Instagram account we quote:

"I'm so happy for you guys! Chiz and Heart. You finally found someone who gives you that feeling that people write novels about. Someday when the time comes all I have to do is look at you both and always remember to choose happiness more than anything in this world."

The couple are currently on a trip in Sen. Escudero's home province in Sorsogon. Evangelista posted few photos earlier today on her Instagram account @iamhearte where she met Escudero's family but seemed clueless of  her then boyfriend's plan for proposal.

Loisa Andalio is the last evicted housemate from the Pinoy Big Brother house during the live 13th eviction night of 'PBB All In' on Saturday, August 23, 2014.

James Reid and Nadine Lustre, soon to become kapamilyas

Lead stars of the currently showing movie Talk Back And You're Dead are soon to become official kapamilyas. The news came after the tweet of ABS-CBN publicist Eric John Salut Saturday morning August 23.

The loveteam of James Reid and Nadine Lustre (JaDine) rose to fame after their fresh team-up in Viva Films's hit movie Diary ng Panget shown first quarter of the year.

Prior to this announcement , the JaDine teamup has been seen as a rival to ABS-CBN's homegrown blockbuster tandem of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (KathNiel). Fans from both parties are often seen bickering against each other on social media.

So with this news, will we be seeing a more heated rivalry between the two? Probably but as they say, "walang personalan".

According to Star Cinema publicist Mico Del Rosario, he urged both parties to not fight as there are rooms for everyone.

Angel Locsin returns to It's Showtime

Fans of Kapamilya actress will be rejoicing once they heard the news that Angel will be returning on It's Showtime.

The actress who chose to take a leave from showbiz work for a couple of months to enjoy her private life with family and boyfriend Luis Manzano will appear on ABS-CBN's noontime show for 10 days.

Angel will appear on these dates September 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16.

According to Reiley Santiago, business unit head of It’s Showtime, the show would have wanted Angel to start on Sept. 3 but the actress had prior commitments on that day. On Sept. 4, she will be joining the Alay Lakad in Batangas organized by her future monther-in-law Governor Vilma Santos-Recto.

Enchong Dee doesn't mind falling for a chinito or chinita

Enchong Dee was in MOR 101.9 Friday morning to promote for his MMK guesting which will air this Saturday on ABS-CBN and his music album "Chinito Problems". Yes, he's now a recording star too.

Everything was going fine when suddenly the young actor made a slip of the tongue. Or was it?

The radio jock asked Dee for the characteristics he likes in a woman? If there are any specific features he looks that would steal his attention. “Ano ang gusto mo sa babae? May specific features ba?”

Enchong replied “Well, wala naman specific kung chinito or chinita..."

Errr... come again Enchong? Is it like saying gender is not issue when you fall in love just like PBB housemate Fifth said, "Kung iibig po ako, hindi ko po iisipin 'yung... sekswalidad ng tao,"

The young actor panicked after dropping the line and then he said: “Ano ba? yuuun.. basta!”

Gay rumors seem not to stop about Enchong even if he had already admitted he's got a (unnamed, unmasked) non-showbiz girlfriend. Even the phenomenal star Vice Ganda once doubted Enchong's sexuality.

“Personally, pinagdudahan ko rin ang pagkatao ni Enchong. Minsan sa buhay ko, sinabi ko, “Bakla itong si Enchong.” Lambot kumilos, effeminate,” Vice Ganda said when he pinch-hit for Aquino and Abunda on The Buzz last Sunday.

But the comedian further said that not all effeminate are gays, the same way that not all macho guys are straight.

“Bakit ba ipinipilit ninyo na bakla si Enchong? Unang-una, kung bakla, ano naman? May magagawa ba kayo? May problema ba kayo sa bakla? Kung sinabi niyang hindi bakla. Bakit hindi ninyo pa rin matanggap."

“Get a life. Sinabi niyang hindi siya bakla, wala na tayong magagawa. Paniwalaan natin,” Vice added.

Dawn Zulueta clarifies sibling issue with Bamboo

Kapamilya actress Dawn Zulueta has put an end to the buzz regarding The Voice Kids coach Bamboo Manalac as her brother. On her newly-created Twitter account @DawnZpost, the actress posted a screenshot of a post clarifying the issue as she can't keep silent any longer.

According to her, the "sort of tattle" is both disconcerting and mortifying to her parents and for Bamboo, also. Dawn assured that her parents' only children are her and her brother named George and that she has two half-brothers from her father's second marriage - Jed and Josiah.

She implored the sources (blog sites and the likes) to check and re-check their sources.
